“An emotional response that immobilizes us from living the life we want and deserve.”
The opposite of Fear is Love. When you are in a state of love there is no fear. Love conquers all. This is easier said than lived. We wrestle with our fears every day. We can allow fear to immobilize or exalt us.
According to the popular book “Fear the Fear and Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers suggests that Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. To summarize, I believe we are creating our own fears, roadblocks that disallow us from moving forward to claim what truly serves us. What would your life be like if you were not afraid?
We put all experiences of fear under one label FEAR. In fact there is fear and then there is danger. These are two different experiences of fear. Fears that we create to hold us back from living the life we deserve or experiencing fear that comes in the form of danger i.e. running into a bear while hiking. Feeling fear that comes from an experience of danger is a whole different element and experience of fear.
How to conquer self-limiting fears?
Most of us are not emotionally equipped to break through our own self-created fearful barriers. We require trusted support from someone who continues to face and conquer their own fears. We can only imagine what our lives would be like if we were able to overcome false evidence appearing real (Fear). We are worth conquering our fears.
